Welcome to Wilton Center Federated Church
We want everyone to know, experience and demonstrate the reality of God’s love. Jesus taught us how to do this as he shared God's love freely, grew in it faithfully, expressed it joyfully, enjoyed it completely and lived it daily. We strive to do the same.
We know that showing up to a new place for the first time can be intimidating, but at WCFC it’s our desire that you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the parking lot! Our services are meant to worship God and bring us into a closer relationship with Him.
We sing a mixture of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns. Pastor Zach Dyrda's sermons relate God's Word to our everyday lives.
Give us a try. We'd love to have you join us.
Glad you asked? The word "Federated" in our name simply refers to the fact that our church is made up of two denominations that worship together - American Baptists and United Methodists. We've been joined together for over 100 years. In 1919 there were two small churches worshipping separately in tiny Wilton Center. Both being small congregations, they decided to join together to live out their mission more effectively. This created the federated church we have today. Our primary focus is serving and worshiping the triune God. Denominational differences are secondary.
So when you come join us on a Sunday morning, you will see Christians practicing their faith based on both Methodist and Baptist traditions. Our unique history as a church offers a space for all to come and worship. We invite you to join us in joyful worship as we draw closer to the God who has richly blessed us.
At WCFC, there is no dress code! Some people show up in casual dress others wear jeans and sandals. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Our Children's Church is available for kids from 4 years through 5th grade during our worship service. Space is available for nursing mothers and wiggly toddlers.
